Meet Our Benefits Team:

Mark Scalera, AIF®, C(k)P®, CRPS®, PPC®
Mr. Scalera has spent his entire 33-year career serving a complete spectrum of client needs by advising both corporations and individuals on their retirment plans, employee benefits, investments, estate planning issues and, insurance planning.  His clients primarily include mid-size corporations, small businesss and mid to high net worth individuals. 

Mr. Scalera, a Managing Partner at Morristown Wealth Management, and his group will be managing the James A. Connors Associates Inc. Life, Health and Group Benefits Programs. He brings an extensive background in Corporate Retirement Plans, Employee Benefits, Retirement, Financial Planning and Life and Health insurance Planning to James A. Connors Associates, Inc.

His experience includes: CEO Providence Financial Group; Managing Partner Lynwood Financial Group, Matawan, New Jersey; General Agent Lafayette Life Insurance Company, Westwood, New Jersey; and, District Agent Prudential Financial, Saddle Brook, New Jersey.

Mr. Scalera was one of the first of 75 financial professionals in the country to be awarded the Certified 401(k) Professional ®, designation from The Retirement Advisory University in collaboration with UCLA Anderson School of Management Executive Education. It is the only such certification offered in cooperation with a nationally recognized institution of higher education. 

In addition, Mr. Scalera currently holds licenses for Life, Health and Property & Casualty Insurance, as well as Series 6 and 63 investment registrations through LPL Financial. His professional industry designations include Certified Retirement Plans Specialist®, Accredited Investment Fiduciary®, Professional Plan Consultant and Certified 401(k) Professional ®.

Ryan Scalera
Ryan Scalera is now part of the Life, Health, and Group Benefits Programs support staff at James A. Connors Associates, Inc.  Mr. Scalera remains in charge of New Business Life and Health Insurance leads at Morristown Wealth Management also located in Morristown, New Jersey.

Mr. Scalera began his career in the employee benefits industry providing administrative support to the insurance practice at Providence Benefits Group, Murray Hill, New Jersey.  He also worked as an insurance agent at Prudential Advisors where he specialized in long term care, disability, and life insurance for individuals and business owners.  In particular, he developed expertise with business succession planning utilizing life insurance. 

Mr. Scalera holds licenses for Life & Health Insurance, as well as a Series 6 investment registration through LPL Financial. 

Mr. Scalera is a resident of Summit, NJ where he enjoys spending time with his wife, Ashley, and daughter, Bella.  

Christine E. Fisher
Ms. Fisher is Operations Manager for Morristown Wealth Management in Morristown, New Jersey. In addition to providing general administrative support in the areas of corporate benefits, employer-sponsored retirement plans, and individual investments, she will support the Life, Health and Group Benefits Programs at James A. Connors Associates, Inc.

Ms. Fisher’s experience includes: editorial assistance on various book projects; Customer Service Content Editor for National Register Publishing in New Providence, New Jersey; and, Executive Assistant for The Center for Mind-Body Medicine in Washington, DC.

She graduated magna cum laude from Middlebury College, Middlebury, Vermont in 2006 with a BA degree in Political Science and Spanish.
