James Treuvey, CIC, CRM, AIS, AAI
Commercial Lines Account Manager
Born in Pequannock New Jersey, Mr. Treuvey has spent his entire career in the insurance industry beginning in 1984 as a part-time policy auditor for the Mutual Insurance Service Office in Hawthorne, New Jersey.
At the same time, he pursued and obtained his Property/Casualty and Life/Health insurance license from the Kovats School of Insurance in Paramas, New Jersey.
Upon receiving his license in 1985 he began his full-time career with the Marcliff Agency in Little Falls, New Jersey where he specialized in personal lines business customer service. He then joined Olympic Insurance, in Mountainside, New Jersey where he moved to the commercial lines business arena.
In 1988 he accepted an offer to become a producer for the Lubowicki Insurance Agency in Metuchen, New Jersey. Mr. Treuvey spent nine years at Albeiz Insurance/National Insurance Programs (NIP) in Woodbridge, New Jersey where he specializing in “niche” market commercial lines customer service and sales of Housing Authority accounts.
In 2004 Mr. Treuvey achieved the degree of Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) from the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research.
Before joining James A. Connors Associates, Inc. in Morristown, New Jersey in 2005 as an account executive focusing on servicing and selling commercials lines business, Mr. Treuvey spent eight years with Commerce National Insurance Services in Randolph, New Jersey.
In 2010 Mr. Treuvey attained the prestigious Certified Risk Manager (CRM) designation from the National Alliance. He is adept at managing risk by identifying exposures, analyzing risk, applying loss control techniques, financing of risk and helping to preserve customer assets. He has also received the designation of Associate in Insurance (AIS) and the designation of Accredited Advisor of Insurance (AAI) from the Insurance Institute of America. These designations assist him to focus on customer service, leadership and teamwork.
Mr. Treuvey and his wife are residents of Pompton Plains, New Jersey. He enjoys tennis, pinball, the big island of Hawaii, Barnegat Light, New Jersey, Three Alarm Thai food and Soft Coated Wheaton Terriers.
