Janice Polizzi, CISR
Commercial Lines Account Manager
Ms. Polizzi joined James A. Connors, Inc. in 2006 as a commercial lines account executive after spending eleven years at the Anthony S. Cupo Agency in Clifton, New Jersey as a senior customer service representative responsible for writing new and retaining renewal business as well as making significant contributions to the computer infrastructure design and management.
After graduating Cum Laude from Montclair State University in Montclair, New Jersey in 1973 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Social Studies, Ms. Polizzi began her career as an accounts payable clerk at Oneida Packaging in Clifton, New Jersey.
After two years, Ms. Polizzi applied her social studies degree as a teacher for the Holy Names School in Garfield, New Jersey. She left the teaching profession in 1977 and joined Weiner Industries, Inc. in Paterson, New Jersey as the administrative assistant/executive secretary to the vice-president of sales, over seeing the local sales force monthly production reports and schedules for a three-state operation.
Prior to her entry into the insurance industry, Ms. Polizzi was the eastern regional administrative assistant at Intertel, Inc. in Secaucus, New Jersey responsible for sales force administration.
After some time home raising a family, Ms. Polizzi answered the call of the insurance industry by joining Cardmar Associates in 1983. Always the student, Ms. Pollizi not only started by learning all aspects of the insurance industry, but also received her insurance license that same year and became a customer service representative. She gained valuable experience managing the claims department and integrating the agency’s acquisitions.
In 1989 Ms. Polizzi joined the Raymond Luchko Agency in Clifton, New Jersey as the assistant office manager. While at the Luchko Agency, Ms. Polizzi worked in both commercial and personal lines of business and was responsible for implementing the agency’s integration of their carriers’ online programs.
When she joined James A. Connors Associates, Inc., Ms. Polizzi decided to enrich her experience in the industry and in 2009 attained the designation of Certified Insurance Service Representative (CISR) from the National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research.
Ms. Polizzi enjoys travel and being a New York Giants season ticket holder and New York Yankee fan. She is a resident of Wayne, New Jersey and enjoys taking the lead for social event planning at Connors Associates and informing her fellow workers of the background and history associated with our national holidays, traditions and major events.
