Ms. Silver entered the insurance industry in 1979 and has worked continuously in various capacities.
She has worked at James A Connors Associates, Inc. in Morristown, New Jersey since 1996 in the sales and marketing of various types of insurance, both commercial and personal.
Prior to joining James A. Connors Associates, Inc. Ms. Silver began her career as a commercial customer service representative in the office of Popkin Lebson Bergstein, Inc. an insurance agency in Englewood NJ where she learned the workings of the business. She learned how to rate, compute and process commercial policies for many types of businesses. She learned how to read and interpret the various parts of the policies.
Ms. Silver studied to become more knowledgeable in the field and earned her Certified Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) designation in 1985. This has proven to be an extremely valuable tool and has given her the extra advantage she needed to better serve her clients. The advanced study has not only enabled her to develop an increased knowledge in risk management and loss control but also to gain a better understanding of company policy as it impacts products for her diverse group of clients. While she was working in the service end of the business, she started performing marketing and sales functions as well.
By the early 1990’s Ms. Silver moved over completely into the sales end of the business. However, her training on the inner workings of an insurance agency at the beginning of her career has enabled her to see both sides of the successful conclusion of the purchase of proper coverage at a fair and competitive premium. Ms. Silver is accessible to her clients twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. That dedication has attracted some of her most loyal clients.
Ms. Silver earned a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science in Education from Brooklyn College, Brooklyn, New York. She taught elementary school in the NYC Public School System in Brooklyn for five years prior to entering the insurance industry.
